Dave showed me his painting after unveiling the nearly completed renovations on his basement studio. He had visited the Crested Butte Wild Mushroom Festival in Colorado to start gathering information for a possible mycological documentary and had attended nearly every event. At the mushroom painting seminar, his fellow painters were two nine year old girls. His only disappointment was spelling the mushroom's Latin name incorrectly.
